A cozy fire, soft lighting and a room full of family and friends provided an intimate and romantic setting for Abby and Jeff”s winter wedding in Madaket. We lucked out with the weather! February on Nantucket can mean a fierce “nor’easter” or an incredible snowstorm. On this day, however, guests enjoyed a reprieve from the usual freezing temperatures and enjoyed a gorgeous day in Madaket for the wedding festivities.
It’s so inspiring to see friends and family come together as a way of blessing a couple’s commitment to one another during the ceremony. The bride’s children accompanied their mother down the “aisle;” siblings read inspired passages; the groom’s father officiated the ceremony; the nuptial rings were passed among all present as a means of inclusion and sanction of the day’s events; and a bright unity candle lit the way for this happy family’s future. It really was a powerful and beautiful unity!
I hope you will enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. Congratulations, Abby and Jeff!!!
